For the next couple of weeks, we’ll be studying one type of narrative writing – the personal essay.  Read the opening pages of Chapter 5: Narrative, in Frames of Mind. Bring the book with you to class on Monday.

College essay sequence: For Friday 10/5, you were to bring in examples of college essay prompts that you’ll be writing about. For homework, write one of these essays. On October 22, college counselor Ms. Alamilla will come to our class to discuss the college essay and answer any questions you have about the application process.
