In class today, we read the introduction to chapter 6, Illustration, in Frames of Mind and the essay “English is a Crazy Language” by Richard Lederer. In your writer’s notebook, respond to the following for Friday, 4/4. How does Abbey use illustration in the chapter “Polemic: Industrial Tourism and the National Parks”? Is that his most effective rhetorical technique?
